Dragon Eyes River Cruiser – 3 Jours 2 Nuits – Saigon – Phnom Penh

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Saigon and transfer you to Can Tho or Cai Be. Around noon, you will board your wooden river cruise vessel. After a refreshing welcome drink, we will introduce you to the on-board facilities and your cozy cabin. As lunch is served, the boat begins its journey. Sit back, relax, and take in the stunning scenery and the vibrant daily life along the Mekong River.

In the afternoon, disembark for a guided stroll through a village surrounded by fruit orchards and rice fields. Meet the friendly locals and sample fresh produce and tropical fruits.

Back on board, unwind with a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the enchanting Mekong landscape. The boat anchors for the night, and your day concludes with a delicious dinner on board. Spend the night in comfort on your floating hotel in the heart of the Mekong Delta.

Cai Be floating market-Mekong

Wake up refreshed to the gentle sounds of the Mekong River and prepare for another exciting day in the Delta. At 6:30 a.m., the cruise vessel sets off for a peaceful sunrise journey. Watch daily life unfold along the riverbanks as locals dry exotic fruits and build wooden ships, all while you enjoy an early breakfast on board.

After breakfast, we board a sampan for the morning’s excursion. Depending on the route, you may visit the Cai Rang floating market — the busiest and most vibrant market in the region — where boats brimming with fresh produce gather to trade. We will pull up alongside the merchants’ boats to experience firsthand the lively conversations and bargaining.

Alternatively, the excursion may lead you through the smaller channels around Cai Be, either by sampan or on foot. Here, you can marvel at the abundance of exotic fruits and vegetables, admire skillfully handcrafted regional products, and stop by traditional workshops producing candy and rice paper. Along the way, enjoy glimpses of the Delta’s green waterways, charming houses, verdant orchards, and shipbuilding yards.

It is worth noting that the floating markets of the Mekong Delta are not tourist attractions but genuine wholesale markets where local farmers trade their harvests. The number of boats present fluctuates with the seasons and demand, and with the growth of modern wholesale markets, boat numbers may decline. If visiting a floating market is a highlight for you, please check with us in advance to ensure the itinerary includes it.

At around 11:00 – 11:30 a.m., you will disembark at the pier and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, relax in the shuttle (bus or car) and take in the landscape from a land perspective as you travel onward to Chau Doc. Upon arrival, we will bring you to the elegant Victoria Hotel for your stay.

We transfer you to the pier where you board a speed boat for an exciting journey to Phnom Penh, your gateway to Cambodia and the world-famous temples of Angkor Wat.

The boat arrives in Phnom Penh around noon. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city, marking the end of the trip.
